DuBreton Pork and Retail Ready have partnered to distribute hormone- and antibiotic-free pork to the Ontario market. Animals are raised exclusively on a diet of corn, soybean meal, wheat, bread flour, peas and extruded soybeans. They are never fed animal meal or animal fat. Customers can now brand a large category in their counter that before had always been sold as commodity. It also allows the retailer to differentiate themselves and increase their margins.
Giannone have partnered with Retail Ready to distribute air chilled chickens to the Ontario market. Chicken that has been air chilled and not soaked in water retains flavour, and holds moisture better at time of cooking. Also, with a 14 day shelf life as opposed to 7 the retailer gains not only on quality but also on shelf life.
We carry a wide selection of Maple Leaf and Schneider’s products. Prominent in the line-up are Maple Leaf and Schneider’s Natural products containing no nitrates and are made with ingredients that you can actually pronounce. Schneider’s Country Naturals products include: bacon, wieners, ham and sliced meats. The Maple Leaf Natural Selections portfolio includes: deli beef, turkey, ham and chicken, in the packaged and full serve deli formats.

The Travelling Butcher brand is all about simplifying life while enhancing our everyday eating experience. Our flattened chickens are perfect for busy working families seeking nutritional, easy-to-prepare meals throughout the whole year. Our Mediterranean Spicy Red Pepper Flattened Chicken won the 2010 LiveRight award from the Canadian Liver Foundation for best family friendly item.
We are pleased to announce that we are now distributing Halal Certified, Formula Fed (White) Veal and Choice Lamb products from our US Supplier, Wolverine Packing Co. All products are COV with a 21 day shelf life. Veal is raised to a maximum of 16 weeks age while the Lamb is raised to a maximum age of 12 months and is larger in size than Ontario 50-60 lb carcasses.
